Let’s welcome WordPress 2.7 Coltrane!

Some encounters that might be helpful to those considering upgrading from Wordpress 2.1– :
- Wordpress 2.2 introduced 2 new variables in wp-config.php to support database charset. If you see strange characters on your wordpress after upgrading, google for it.
- Wordpress 2.7 comes with integrated AJAX search, integrated remote updating of plugins. It’s very easy to use; just remember that you have to provide your ftp path, e.g.

ftp.ngxtri.com:21
username: jacky
password: hzrdguess

And make sure the file plugins-update.php attribute is set to executable (I don’t know why Wordpress 2.7 doesn’t set this as default).

- Another pain in the ash is Gallery2. The Gallery2 team told me to upgrade its plugin called “ImageBlock”, otherwise the ’size’ attribute won’t work and visitors will have to use magnifier to view my wordpress pictures. So I went to Gallery2 admin page to update it, only to find out that the forking plugin is actually locked.

Besides that, everything went smoothly. So stop hesitating and do as Ford does. Ford uses Wordpress, unlike Daimler Chrysler..

In Singapore , the majority of us live in Highly Dangerous Buildings (HDB),

And you will be Sure to Give up Hope (SGH).

To help ease the traffic, motorists have to pay Cash On Expressway! (COE).
If that doesn’t help, they can always Eternally Raise Prices (ERP) on the road.
If you don’t own a car, you can always make a Mad Rush to the Train (MRT), OR get squashed in a bus Side By Side (SBS).

Lastly, under all these pressures, there are not many places we can relax, not even the good old place we used to go because it has become So Expensive and Nothing To See Actually (SENTOSA)!!!

My own piano!

It’s been in my wishlist since I was 7 years old. During my 2nd grade, my father took me to a church where a nun taught me piano. At first it was boring and repetitive playing with the 7 notes. But after I finished “Claire de la lune” things got a bit more interesting. I still recall how nice it was playing piano in a quiet sanctum..

update: Opera 9.62 was officially released!

About Firefox 3.0: It reminds me of Yahoo Messenger 9.0! Look at all ‘enhancements’ made from YM 8.1 to YM 9.0. None of them is big enough to make version jump. For Firefox3, the situation is even worse when 90% of my existing extension are no longer compatible!!
Opera was humble when making a move from 9.28 to 9.50. Firefox was boasting. Yahoo was lying.
